Nike Blazer Mid ‘77 Vintage Shoes in Black, White and Sail. Taking note from classic footwear designs but adding a contemporary finish to ensure the best in quality, comfort and style, these Nike Blazer Mid ‘77 Vintage Shoes have leather and synthetic uppers with a vintage treatment on the midsole for an authentic look. On either side of the ankle contrasting Swoosh emblems add a signature touch and overlay paneling around the front toe vamp increases abrasion protection and durability. For a secure fit during everyday wear, the full length lace up fastening adds further vintage styling on top of an exposed foam tongue and around the top edge a simplistic woven label shows the famous Nike logo with a red Swoosh. On the back of the heel capitalised ‘Nike’ lettering has been added and throughout the inside of the shoe a soft fabric lining works in harmony with a cushioned insole. The non-marking solid-rubber outsole offers grip suited to a variety of terrains and features the original herringbone pattern in homage to the Nike archive as proof of its successful functionality.
Originally designed for basketball, the Nike Blazer mid is one of the original footwear styles in Nike’s rich archive and was introduced in 1973. Adapted for everyday wear and for the needs of skateboarders, modern editions retain the best-loved features of now vintage designs with hi-top silhouettes, full length lace fastenings and crisp decorative accents that together demonstrate what the Nike legacy is all about. Autoclave construction of this particular model fuses the outsole to the midsole for an improved streamlined look without straying too far from the 1970’s original.
